Who can SAVE us?

 

Ephesians 2:8-9

King James Version

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; 

and that not of yourselves: 

it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, 

lest any man should boast.

We are all in DIRE need of correction.

Of being saved from our sinful selves.

But how shall we be saved?

Why must we be saved?

Who can save us from our sins?

Who can deliver us from our wretchedness?

Who can show us where we've gone wrong?

Only JESUS could.

He is the only begotten SON of GOD.

He is our SAVIOR.

Scripture testifies of this power given the LORD JESUS:

Matthew 28:18

King James Version

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, 

saying, 

All power is given unto me 

in heaven and in earth.

Acts 4:12

King James Version

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: 

for there is none other name under heaven 

given among men, 

whereby we must be saved.

JESUS was sent to save us.

Luke 19:10

King James Version

10 For the Son of man is come 

to seek and to save that which was lost.

He came for us sinners.

Luke 5:32

King James Version

32 I came not to call the righteous, 

but sinners to repentance.

In place of sin, and death, JESUS gives believers eternal life.

John 3:16

King James Version

16 For God so loved the world, 

that he gave his only begotten Son, 

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, 

but have everlasting life.

All we need to do, is confess our sins to the LORD.

Psalm 32:5

King James Version

5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, 

and mine iniquity have I not hid. 

I said, 

I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; 

and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. 

Selah.

Proverbs 28:13

13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: 

but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them 

shall have mercy.

1 John 1:9

King James Version

9 If we confess our sins, 

he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, 

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Sin is death.

Romans 6:23

King James Version

23 For the wages of sin is death; 

but the gift of God is eternal life 

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

JESUS saved us from death.

Hebrews 2:14

King James Version

14 Forasmuch then as the children 

are partakers of flesh and blood, 

he also himself likewise took part of the same;

 that through death he might destroy him 

that had the power of death, 

that is, the devil;

He died for our sins.

Romans 5:6

King James Version

6 For when we were yet without strength, 

in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

GOD is so merciful, He gives us a way to escape temptation.

1 Corinthians 10:13

King James Version

13 There hath no temptation taken you 

but such as is common to man: 

but God is faithful, 

who will not suffer you to be tempted 

above that ye are able; 

but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, 

that ye may be able to bear it.

By His SON's blood, are believers saved.

Romans 5:8-9

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, 

in that, while we were yet sinners, 

Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, 

being now justified by his blood, 

we shall be saved from wrath through him.

By the blood of JESUS, we are cleansed from all sin.

1 John 1:7

7 But if we walk in the light, 

as he is in the light, 

we have fellowship one with another, 

and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son 

cleanseth us from all sin.

The beloved SON of GOD, who knew no sin, bore our sins for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, 

who knew no sin; 

that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Through the LORD's sacrifice, we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24

King James Version

24 Who his own self 

bare our sins in his own body on the tree, 

that we, being dead to sins, 

should live unto righteousness: 

by whose stripes ye were healed.

Those obedient to GOD's laws, reap the fruits of it.

Isaiah 1:18-20

18 Come now, 

and let us reason together, 

saith the Lord: 

though your sins be as scarlet, 

they shall be as white as snow; 

though they be red like crimson, 

they shall be as wool.

19 If ye be willing and obedient, 

ye shall eat the good of the land:

20 But if ye refuse and rebel, 

ye shall be devoured with the sword:

 for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

The SPIRIT of LIFE in CHRIST, have made us free of sin, and death.

Romans 8:1-4

8 There is therefore now no condemnation 

to them which are in Christ Jesus, 

who walk not after the flesh, 

but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus 

hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, 

in that it was weak through the flesh, 

God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, 

and for sin, 

condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law 

might be fulfilled in us, 

who walk not after the flesh, 

but after the Spirit.
